Our Team
April Maly, PLA
Principal Landscape Architect & Planting Design Consultant
Raised by a family of landscape and gardeners, April has been infatuated with plants from a young age. She started working in the local nursery in middle school, learned the basics of planting design from an ecologist, and has consistently pursued plant-centric professional opportunities and continuing education to build expertise.
April is a licensed Landscape Architect with over 13 years designing, managing, and collaborating in all phases of planning, design, and construction. Her portfolio includes numerous award-winning projects and showcases capability cross-typologies including residential, student and multi-family housing, assisted living, institutions, parks, and temporary installations. She is a creative thinker, an open collaborator, and loves working through a thoughtful detail.
A proud graduate of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University, she serves on the Alumni Advisory Committee where she creates opportunities for students to connect to their professional network. She loves doodling, ceramics, and spending time roaming without destination through quirky New England towns. Her favorite landscapes are those that feel alien: spongy bogs, rocky coasts, and monolithic superblooms.
